A Chinese book, developed around 300 BC by Lao Tzu or Lao Tse. It consists of 81 chapters about life. They describe the basic principles of life, leadership, wisdom,non violence and modesty.
The stories are compact, riddle like, provoking, poetic and philosophycal.
They are very abstract and best read and understood with detailed explanations.
They contain indications of how to live, in harmony and connected with the main principle,
the everything, the Tao. Tao Te Ching ~ the important book (Ching) about the Tao (the road of life) and about the inner force (Te).
It is about accepting and letting go and joining the river of life.
The book forms the basis of Taoism. Nature against the orderly Confucianism about culture and people.
